Napa Valley Fencing Academy - Effort is the Best Talent!
Our classes are designed for beginning and intermediate fencers ages seven and up.  No experience is required.  You will learn everything you need to know to enjoy this Olympic sport. All standard fencing gear is provided.  Coaching is available in all three fencing weapons; foil, epee, and sabre.

Club Pass
The Club Pass provides a month of unlimited fencing.  Classes meet Wednesdays 7 - 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 9 am - 12 pm.  Students can arrange a training schedule that best meets their needs - up to four and a half hours of fencing each week.

Club hours includes a three hour open session that starts off with conditioning, footwork, and drills, followed by open fencing with coaching in all three fencing weapons.  Electric strips available and all standard gear provided.  *Registration available on line through the Napa Recreation Department.

Team Events
These tournaments take place the first Saturday of each month (during Club Hours) and are designed for fencers who want to gain more competitive experience in a teaching environment.  This is also a venue for hosting school competitions and other competitive events.  $20 enrollment fee per event.  Contact your coach for details. *Club Pass students may participate at no cost.

Pacific Union College
Classes for students of PUC are offered Spring and Fall quarters.  Classes will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 - 11:50 am and will cover all three fencing weapons; foil, epee, and saber.

Private Lessons
Private fencing lessons are a great way to take your fencing to the next level.  This one-on-one format allows students to focus on developing their individual strengths in the weapon of their choice.  Lessons may be scheduled before class or during club hours.  Please contact your instructor to arrange your lesson schedule.

Afterschool Programs

Browns Valley
This class is for grades 2 - 5.  Students begin with an emphasis on foil, but graduate to other fencing weapons as they progress.  Open to students in the district.


Fencing Camps are available through the Napa Recreation Department. Summer Camps are one week, Monday through Friday, from 9 am - to 12 pm. Most of our camps focus on foil with students holding an in class tournament on the final day.  This year we have added a Master Class Camp that will include all three weapons.
Summer Fencing Camps Coming in June 2018
These five day camps run Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM.  New students will learn everything they need to know to enjoy this Olympic sport.  Returning students will focus on developing their strategies and techniques with more intensive training.  These camps provides drills and games to improve coordination and fine motor skills.  All gear is provided.  In our Fencing Camps, students will focus on foil fencing.  In the Master Class Camp, students will have access to all three fencing weapons and an electric strip.  Please preregister with the Napa Recreation Department.
